Cozy small place. Food was good. Hash browns were perfectly done.THe only thing I wanted to say is, would love to have maple syrup instead of whatever was served. The waitress was very kind and polite. We did go a bit late in the day around 1:30 pm and they close 2 pm so we had to rush a Lil nevertheless we enjoyed our visit.

We went for Mother’s Day brunch at Food and Art Café, and it was such a lovely experience. The interiors were impressive and uniquely artistic, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The chocolate milkshake was rich and delicious, and the chicken crepe was absolutely divine—so creamy and flavorful! The omelette was soft and delicious, cooked to perfection. The scones were fresh, soft, and just melted in your mouth. We also tried the poutine with bacon and cheese, which was a definite hit—comforting and perfectly seasoned. Overall, a wonderful place to enjoy a special brunch.

A beautiful place in downtown whitby. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The food was amazing, though slightly on the expensive side. Coffee has high caffeine, so pace yourself. I have to say that though not advertised, the French toast is the best I've had in a decade. Ordered it as a side and fell in love with it. Will visit again just for the French toast. And the tater tots were fabulous. It's amazing when a restaurant gets the basics right. The scrambled eggs looked like an omelete, but that's fine too. Hopefully, they can add some freshly squeezed juices to the menu instead of the bottled ones. Will visit again..

The Food and Art Café (aka FART Café—yes, really!) surprised us with a quirky name and a pretty solid brunch experience. We tried a bit of everything. The veggie omelette could’ve used a bit more seasoning, but the scone that came with it stole the show—super soft and fresh, paired with a delicious homemade sauce. The Mega Benny was good too, eggs cooked medium as requested, though the onions were slightly overpowering—just a lighter hand next time would do the trick. Now, the savoury crepe threw us off a bit—it came out more like a soup, which we didn’t expect—but it was still packed with veggies and flavour. Tasty, even if a little unconventional. The hidden gem of the meal was The Philly—a fully loaded, meaty, cheesy delight with perfectly toasted bread and crispy fries on the side. Highly recommend if you’re a fan of comfort food done right. Make sure to reserve in advance as it can get busy. Parking was easy with municipal and street options nearby—and a bonus, weekends are free!
